AI driven auto-transcription/shot detection metadata and importing into AVID
Hello,
I didn’t see a “workflow” forum, so this is the closest I could find. I’m exploring AI auto-transcriptions and video indexing, like the auto recognition of shots. It seems like video indexing solutions are creating the metadata for things like shot in and out points. Now I’m trying to find a way to auto-important that metadata into AVID, PPro, Resolve, etc.
Would I try to convert that metadata into an ALE, EDL, XML? Are there breakdowns for the formatting of each of those? I can open and edit them in a text editor, but it would be nice to know the required formatting of each. How many spaces between each column, character requirements, etc.
Any programmers out there? Thanks!

The ALE is tabbed delimited and has three parts: Header, Column & Data. Your text needs to be formatted as UTF-8 and you you need one carriage return after your last data entry or it won’t merge. The data and column are tab delimited.
