  AI CS6 issue pen tool

  Curious if anyone has run into this and knows a workaround.

  Up until the latest version, the cmd key in pen tool mode would default to a direct selection. NOW the cmd key takes on direct or general selection (v) based on which option was chosen BEFORE selecting the pen tool.

  It’s really degrading my workflow. Here’s a forum post with more discussion (without solution)
