Hi, I’ve recently posted the message.. but I lost track of it, can’t find it in the forum, certainly not in this one.
So sorry for that, here’s my message again.

I’m very new to after effects, and just found out about expressions.

I’m currently making an animation with hotair balloons in it, a LOT of them.

I’d like to make an expression for hovering them up and down in a loop, but I just don’t know how.

Could somebody please help me with this?

    thanks in advance.

I think I’d start with a slow wiggle and go from there:

    wiggle(0.1, 200)

Here’s something I have to remind myself of all too often:
Don’t be afraid to just keyframe something.

Invest some time in how keyframe spatial and temporal interpolations works: get the basic motion right,
and then apply a wiggle-expression to see if that makes it better.

Do a search on “looping wiggle” or “loop cycle wiggle” because the wiggle will probably break the looping.
