I’m having a weird issue exporting video from After Effects 7 and getting it to play properly in Final Cut 5.1.

I am editing a video shot on an HDV Sony camera. My footage is all 1080i60 in Final Cut, as well as my Sequence. It all plays very smoothly in FCP.
Now, when I take the footage into After Effects 7, with the present HDV1080/29.97, do my work, and “make movie” back to HDV1080i60, it imports well into Final Cut, and places on the timeline as “full”, as in it doesn’t have to render (no orange or red bar). However, when I try to PLAY any footage I had worked on in AFX, it plays EXTREMELY slow and choppy.
What I don’t get is it is the same codec, and all the setting on the footage I shot and the clips I’m exporting are the same. I’ve tried it on several different machines, from Dual 2.7 G5s to my Powerbook… Even in QuickTime it’s really slow (out of AfterFX). Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Render to the Animation code and then render the clip in FCP. Unfortunately you cannot render directly to the HDV codec out of AE and have FCP play it.
