After video is rendered, it shows all black and only plays sound, no video.
Good evening everyone,
I’m new to AE CS5 and I have made a about a dozen videos and not had any problems and then all of a sudden I was working on a project one day and after my video rendered it opened with a completely black screen and only played the sound. I didn’t think much of it and just deleted the project and moved on. I rendered two more videos just fine and then today I had another project I was exporting and when I double clicked it to open it up – again it was completely black with only the sound playing. Any help is greatly appreciated…
After Effects CS5
Project consisted of importing an MPEG file from cannon camcorder.
1 new solid layer, a few masks, using shatter plug in and nothing
will display. -

Odd, I´d go for doing several renders turning off layers to see where things start going wrong, starting with the MPEG video, as that is a compressed format causing problems in AE.. Dave LaRonde knows about that.
The MPEG solution is converting it to a different format before using in AeFx.
