    after effects v.7 won’t run on HP pavilion notebook with nvidia geForce FX Go5700

    Hi any one else out there having difficulties getting after effects v.7 to run?

    When I start the program the splash screen displays and when it gets to advanced 3d openGL it just quits.

    6.5 runs fine on the same machine. It is an HP pavilion notebook with a 128 mb nvidia geForce FX Go5700 graphics card.

    Update your video card drivers.

    If that doesn’t work, remove the OpenGL3D plug-in from the Plug-ins/Standard/Extensions folder. You should be able to get it to launch then. You won’t have OpenGL acceleration, but if the Go5700 isn’t going to play nice, you’re better off without it.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    I did update and no go. I was able to get it to start by removing openGL, but thats a drag. Any one else out there able to run in
    openGL mode with this configuration?
