After effects Titles Interlaced in Final Cut
I have been having issues when importing a text video file exported from After Effects into Final cut.
I’ve tried different Codecs, different Frame Rates and a few other ways but they have all rendered the same results.
A lot of the text is rather thin. But even the thicker portions are having the problem(Especially rounded characters)
My sequence setting are 720×486, NTSC D1 10-bit Uncompressed.

NTSC SD is interlaced. Lower field first. Those are the exact render settings you should be using in AE. 720×486 Lower Field First.

well I do progressive NTSC all the time. just let the video card interlace on the way out… that said
in FCP, select the clip, hit command 9 for clip info. there is a field you can right click to change how FCP is dealing with the clip – upper, lower or progressive.
I’d also check your TL settings. sometimes FCP autmagically gets mixed formats right, other times not. in this case you may need to change the clip interpetation so FCP does the right thing.
