    Hi Folks,

I had a load of takes on an SD card, found the best one, and cut it out from the rest as an AVI.

Now that I have only the AVI of the good take in After Effects, the timeline still shows the time indicators for the full video from which this take is from…it’d be useful to have the time indicators that apply to this footage only.

    Possible?

If you’d really like to have only the portion of the video that you have selected with no handles, then perhaps the best way to do that would be to use Prelude as your ingest tool. If you explore Prelude, you will find that you can preview clips, make subclips and transcode/ingest the clip with no reference to the full length, original media.
