Hi, i’m looking for the optimal way to distribute my AE installation, Disk Cache, projects and footage on hard-drives.
    This is my current configuration:
    120 GB SSD – SO
500 GB SSD – Adobe and 3D softwares
    2TB (1+1)Raid 0
    2TB older HDD

Having AE installed on the 500GB SSD where should i put Disk Cache, Projects and Footage for optimal performance?

    Thanks! 🙂

Disk cache must go on your fastest drive with the fastest connection—so your internal SSD.

Footage should go on a relatively fast drive.

Writing rendered files out is (usually) not a big bandwidth hog, so you can probably write out to your slower HDD.

    Thanks Todd!!
So, just to be sure… having the project files and disk cache on one SSD, reading the footage from the raid and rendering out to the slower hdd sounds like a good plan?
