    i am using after effects cs4 for a while today its started to memory error 40 22 something.. i installed after effects again after uninstalling it.

    but now when i run after effects its shows the start up loads upto 2% and then it disappears. and doesnt start tried this 3 4 times always same thing happing…

    Try starting AE while holding Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). This Will reset your preferences. If this does not work you may want to try installing under a new user.

    Ctrl+Alt+Shift opened properties window (em using windows xp) it worked in compatibility mode (ie windows 2000 mode or with changed resolution). why is it not working in normal mode any idea ?
    and in compatibility mode quicktime is not detected by ae i have latest version installed.
