I’m doing some character animation in After Effects. I Create my characters in Illustrator then rig them up in AE. I’ve come along an interesting technique for animating blinks quickly that I learnt on youtube… I precompose all the wide open, half blink and full blink frames in a comp. I apply time remapping. Make a null then alt click on the time remapping and parent it to the rotation of the null object. Then make the null rotation hold frames. When I use the + / – keypad the blinks can be selected really quickly. I really enjoy this technique but I’m starting to encounter issues with it in my renders! The blinks sometimes go crazy and twitch madly – not how I keyframed them… Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks!

What exact version of After Effects?

Do you have the same problem after purging memory and disk cache? (See the Edit > Purge menu.)
