After effects + Premier
Hey dudes,
i am very curious about what you pro editors use for what..
do you make whole entire movies in after effects, or each scene in after effects then you put it into premier uncompressed? and render from there? and when i say that, do you not do any editing from inside premierplease explain what you use for what, and how you manage to sync video to music when its all in different places.

After Effects is a compositor (you build up)
Then use an NLE to edit and build a timeline
YOu want to use an NLE (any will really do for this task) to get things synced to music, work out transition timings etc.
As far as uncompressed… no…. I render to the compression we are delivering in most cases and render alpha elements only as Lossless + Alpha.

hmm ok i think i get what you’re saying..
but i’m kinda confused, before you load a scene into premiere do you open it in AE and touch it up, then move it to premiere, and leave it as it is- without any effects in premiere?
so pretty much, do you do any effects in premiere or is it all in AE, and premiere is just to throw it all together?
