Alright this is really strange and Im not sure whats going on. I have started a new AE project and the lights are not registering. I am using CS4. Everything is perfect, 3D layers, material option set to accept lights, that stuff is fine. They are simply not working. I opened an older project with active lights and those work fine.

This is urgent I need to work, what is happening!

Having the same problem. Afraid I don’t really understand the previous answer. If I did, how do I unselect it? There are also pics and links on the answer which just lead to some general helpscreen for after effects… I tried searching that too, just to be polite I guess before posting here.

Has anyone actually solved this one?

Got it now from a helpful soul. It’s the Draft 3D feature, which is a few buttons to the right of the search bar on the timeline.

Also, have layer controls selected (Ctrl/cmd + shift = H). Wasn’t my problem in this case, but also important.
