After Effects Lightning Effect
Hi
I’m hoping someone can be help me. I have the lightning effect on an adjustment layer with a mask that expands over time to control the extent that the lightning reaches. When I run the animation in AE, the lightning is white, but when I render it to a ProRes 422 movie, the lightning is black.
Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

Its because its on an adjusment layer i think. Maybe add it to another layer, or turn off the black and white circle so that its no long an adjustment layer. I think ive had something similar.

Thanks Richard, I followed your advice and moved the lightning on to the layer it was affecting instead of using the adjustment layer, and ticked the ‘composite on original box’ in the lightning effect. It now looks fine when it’s rendered.
