  • After Effects keeps freezing when I use the timewarp effect.

Everytime I try to apply the timewarp plug in, and then add motion blur to an effect, which is what I want, I will then hit the play button so it can go through the frames and add it. But every time I do this, the program always freezes after a few frames. It never seems to unfreeze so I have to shut down and try again, but it keeps on freezing whenever I attempt the timewarp.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks for any help. I really appreciate it :).

The clip I want to add it to is six seconds. However, I seem to have found a solution. If I pre-compose the clip, then it seems to work. Does precomposing do anything to it that allows it work?

I am using the motion blur effect in timewarp, yes.

Actually it’s back at it again now, now that I have reopened it to continue. Pre-composing is no longer helping and it will freeze any time I try to add an effect and then play through the frames.
