  • [After Effects] How to keep a composition frame frozen ?

I have two layers, one has a composition with animation and another layer contains a audio. I want to freeze a frame of the composition layer for some moments while the audio continues (without changing the audio, only extending the duration of this particular composition frame). Is there any way to do that ? I tried time-remapping but when I change the mapping of the composition layer, it also changes the audio, I don’t want to change the audio layer which is separate, just the composition layer. Maybe there is a way of “unlinking” layers from the remapping effects or something like that. Thanks !

Hi, probably the simplest way to do it is to time-remap your layer, turn off the sound for that layer. Add another copy of your footage underneath so its audio will play.
