    Thank You Ted 🙂

Been away spending time on tutorials, sorry the late reply.

I am amazed be the things one can do in Cinema 4d ! 🙂

I have the Lite version which came with AE.

Many of the C4d tutorials I find on for example Lynda.com, are using the Cinema 4d Studio, which comes at around 3500 dollars. (R16)

At this point I am mostly interested in modeling, rigging and animating 3d characters in 3d environments.

Since this is not my profession and since I am a newbie to motion graphics, it seems a bit expensive.

Do You happen to know, if it is possible to buy a monthly/yearly subscription of C4d Studio ?

Or maybe if it is possible to purchase an older version of C4d to a lower price ?

I eager to get started and hope that I someday will be a good animator 🙂

    Hi Ola!
How do you get on with C4D?
It’s been a year since you started this thread but Im in same position right now.
I found a Blender 3D to be a really nice soft to start with and it is free.
Im starting with Cartoon Animation. Maybe you would like to exchange experiences?

I am the same way. I want to get more into animation,… and motion graphics.

I had talked to someone else that does animation, I went to his website, and he has a local group on Facebook for animators and asking around with them helped a bit… but mostly they use Photoshop and then After Effects to touch it up for straight out animation.

finding information on what can be incorporated using Cinema 4D lite for motion graphics would be useful! I am not rich so I want to see where this thread goes.
