After Effects CS5 Plugin
Hello!
I’ve upgraded to After Effects CS5 and i have a few issues… the biggest one is the 3d party plugins and presets wont show up or even install into CS5, i tired it with the CS4 and it worked fine, is there a special way to install plugins and presets to CS5 or i have a bigger problem?

Hi there!
Searching the forum may bring lots of threads on that matter.
Basically CS5 is a 64bit app and all CS4 3rd party plug-ins are 32bit.
Since they must be 64bit compatible to work on CS5 the companies had to release new versions of them all. So I´m afraid you´ll have to buy them all again.

Adriano is right. You will need new versions of all your plugins. Some are free. Some are deeply discounted and some are going to cost you.

Thanks alot guys! U saved me alot of research, I looked everywhere on the net, but no one wrote about this.
Ok, I guess I’ll keep working on the CS4 for now
But if you know any free usfull plugins please let me know

yes i think thats my only option,work on both..
here in Japan everything is expensive so buying those plugins is a headache.
the only problem i might face in that case is i can open ae CS4 in CS5 but i cant save as CS4 from CS5, i hope they’ll come up with a plugin for that.
