After Effects CS4 won’t playback in real time even if I drop it down to 1/4 resolution?
my system is good:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.5 GHz
8 GB Ram
Windows 7 64 bit
Video card Nvidia 9500GT 1GB PCI-E – OPEN GL CompliantAny ideas?

As long as you are using the ram preview and waiting for it to cashe there should
Be no prob. Double check your multiprocessor setting in prefs. Maybe change those settings
And see what happens. -BReality? What did you make it?

Tried changing them but no different.
I have not even added anything to the clip, just trying to play it??
This is weird. I use Sony Vegas all the time no problem.
Is is because it is a 1080p 24 file maybe?

I highly agree with Dave. You absolutely must have a grasp of the basics in AE or you will fall down frustrated and cry. Well, maybe not cry, but you get the idea.
