    Howdy,

Never use mp3’s in AE, it doesn’t like them even in CS3. Convert the mp3 to something more manageable like a wma file and use that instead.

Use itunes to make a new mp3 for you, I have done this in the past, and it strips out garbage in the code.

Use AIFF its faster and more clean and imports perfect into AE.

Go into itunes and go to preferences
    > edit >preferences

go to general and click import settings.
Change the decoder to AIFF decoder instead of mp3 of ACC.

choose your song then right click and convert to AIFF.

    DONE! 🙂

Then drag and drop into AE or import.
    Hope This Helps.
