Hello all in the digital world! I’m a, somewhat beginner with AE and am having an issue with the Timewarp effect. I have video shot on a green screen. I’ve used Keylight to remove the screen and a mask to remove other unwanted portions. When i apply the Timewarp effect, the Keylight and the mask stop working. Is there something i need to enable or do? Thanks for any/all help!

Don’t apply timewarp to the layer with keylight applied. Instead pre-comp that layer (select it and press cmd-shift-c/ctrl-shift-c), move all attributes into the pre-comp and apply timewarp in the parent composition.

Or pre-render the matte output and apply timewarp to the movie.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

talking about pre-render, wich format/codec would you advise to avoid loss of quality ? I am usually working with dv pal rushes and i don’t know if i have to pre-render with quicktime animation (very heavy) or if quicktime DV is enough and will not destroy my file…

    Thanks
