  • After Effects Crashing when using mask expansion

I’m working on a rotoscoping project at the moment. The main parts are created from solids with masks. For creating outlines I use mask expansion very often.
Since a couple of days I have a strange crash that never happened before:

I create a copy of my solid, change the solid color, then change the value of mask expansion. Until here everything works fine. Now, when I change the path of my duplicate (the one with changed mask expansion value) and render a preview or go through the composition frame by frame, After Effects crashes every time I reach frame 47.
I tried to create a new solid, a new mask, a new composition but it’s always the same. Even when I create a new project the problem occurs.

When I don’t change the mask expansion value everything works fine.
I’m working on MacPro, OSX 10.5.6, 8GB RAM and After Effects CS4.

Does anyone know what is happening here?
