After Effects Color “None” Workspace & Preserve RGB Outputs
I have an After Effects project with hundreds of TIFFs from a range of color profiles – ProPhoto RGB, sRGB, Adobe (1998) and so on. I am outputting comps as a DPX Stringout (to go into Resolve) and checking “Preserve RGB” in Color Management for the output.
My questions: if I have “none” selected for the project workspace, and I check to preserve RGB, is Adobe preserving the color profile of the original TIFF? And if I have another workspace selected – ProPhoto, for instance – and check to preserve RGB on a comp with an sRGB image, does After Effects convert the color profile of the image in the comp to match that of the workspace?
Thank you.
