After Effects 5.5
Quick question. I have an old version of After Effects 5.5. Will this run on a 4 x 2.5 Ghz PowerPC G5? Or do I need to update to After Effects 7?

i’m pretty sure that the computer won’t be a problem… it’s the os and quicktime version that i’d be concerned about. you might check out adobe to see if there are any quicktime version requirements/concerns.
i will say that the render engine has been updated since 5.5, so 7 will render mcuh quicker. but you may want to wait for ae cs3 (8.0). the new cs3 render engine will use all you processing cores… even with 7, most effects are not multi-processor aware. with 4 processors, cs3 would be a big benenfit to you and worth the money.
