    Hi, I have two concerns

    1. What is the best way to add music to my project in after effects ,such that video quality doesn’t gets effected

    2.On uploading video on Facebook ,my video quality gets very degraded ,we have tried everything , nothing seems to work.

    Please help ?

    I would highly recommend doing your audio work in a separate program – Premiere or Audition. Audio in after effects is really just for reference.

    As far as Facebook exports … export a high quality image sequence from After effects. Bring that into premiere for audio editing. From Premiere, export an mp4 with h.264 codec. There are many presets for YouTube, Vimeo, etc that should work well.

    While you don’t want to get too involved with audio in AE versus other programs more tailored for audio, if you’re only adding a song to your project you could stay in AE and then just export using AME to a .mp4 of suitable quality for FB. AE allows you to see the waveform if you need to edit to the beat or make calculated fades. If you have more complex audio needs, that is a different story.
