I have a project that consists of about 100 .jpgs. I went to add 6 more to the timeline and was able to manipulate the size and duration without a problem, but as soon as I tried set keyframes to change the opacity, I got that error. I tried resizing the pictures in PS, but not help. I also tried re-adding one of the .jpgs that is already in the timeline and faced the same problem. I am using AE CS3.

    How about pre-composing some layers?
