After capture, Vegas 8 looses control of camcorder
I’ve never had a problem with capture until I purchased a JVC GR-D850U.
The capture starts fine, but when the video is finished all control is lost and I get an error on the device. My tape name that I gave at the start is not saved, just a generic name and you can’t even see that in the project media tab. But the generic tape name can be seen in the Explorer tab. Any help would be appreciated. -

All I can recommend is that you disable device control in the preferences. You will have to manually press play on the JVC and record in Vegas but it should alleviate the problem.
