    Hi there, after moving to a mackbook pro( leopard uptodate), i tried to install all the trapcode plugins in my AE CS3 and i couldnt do it! can someone help me? i download the demo versions of the plugins, follow the instructions,read the forum talking about this issue, and after effects doesnt recognize the plugins!

    Hi,

    Yeah, it’s pretty annoying. You can get a free upgrade for some of the plug-ins where there haven’t been any significant changes from the pre-leopard versions. But you will have to pay for upgrades on a few of them.

    I was a bit taken by surprise by this and frankly was pretty annoyed at how Reg Giant/Trapcode seems to be handling it, but I guess that’s the way of the world.

    there are updates to the trapcode plugins for CS3, but the demo versions should have the latest updates available.

    Make sure you select the proper version of After Effects in the installer. The plugins for CS3 are installed in a centralized Adobe plugins folder, not in the After Effects plugins folder (of course, you can always move them into the After Effects plugins folder if you prefer… you just won’t have them available for other Adobe software, like Premier.
