  • !!!!!!!????????? Can I sell my copy of FINAL CUT STUDIO 3 to get FCPX?

    Hi,

I’ve just sold my copy of FINAL CUT STUDIO 3 ebay. Since I learned the suite would not be continuing I decided to grab FCPX and offload the more bulky FCS3.

My problem is that, I understood that as long as I gave ALL discs and paperwork – AND KEPT NOTHING – that the sale would be legal and the person I sold it too would be able to install it on their system no problems. NOW I’m receiving angry emails from the buyer saying that I sold a faulty product (which I didn’t, because I used it fine for over a year) and that they want their money back.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP? Is there something I’m missing with the transfer of the software?

    PLEASE LET ME KNOW
    Cheers, Thomas

How are they saying it is faulty? What is happening on their end?

Did you de-register it before you sold it?

Great news, they finally turned around and said that now it’s working and it was their fault. The software is not faulty, I thought it would be impossible for it to be.

But how do you de-register it?

    Thanks to everyone.

…I recently bought FCP7. I have FCP 6 + studio 2 upgrade and the disc for FCP 6 which I upgraded from. I read somewhere that if you no longer use the version or the upgrade from it and it is no longer on your machine, you can sell it…really confused?
