AE7 = no .cr2 files????
hey-
quick verification for you guys. The documentation for AE 7.0 says that it can import .cr2 files, yet I get the “file format module can not parse the file” error.
I really don’t want to convert all these files to a different format. Is there any way to natively open these .cr2’s in AE?

The New CR2’s like the canon 30D raws wont go. Adobe has a new raw viewer for PS but it doesn’t work in AE. They should update it but I don’t think they know about it.

Yeah, this sucks- I ended up batch automating the cr2’s in photoshop.

You can also use the Adobe DNG converter to convert the .cr2 files to DNG, which AE will recognize.
