September 1, 2005 at 4:15 pmYES- you can’t go wrong with the books by Trish and Chris Meyers. I still refer to them very often. Also, if you can find a copy, “Photoshop Channel Chops” by Bert Monroy, David Biedney, and some other dude. It’s really a comprehensive book about how color channels are affected by operations, and how to manipulate them to pull mattes, etc. It was written for version 4.0 of photoshop, but still applies today.

September 1, 2005 at 8:33 pmJust a note on Photoshop Channel Chops, this is an out of print book and very hard to find. It goes on Amazon.com for about $129. I heard Bert Monroy speak at MacDesignDesign in Tampa and he talked about how hard it is to find his book and that he doesn’t even part with his own copies anymore.
I’m not sure if he has been approached to re-write or republish.
It is very difficult to find.Steve Roberts
