AE won’t recognize OpenGL on QuadroFX 3450
Hi,
I have been trying to get AE 7 to recognize my card but the little checkbox in preferences is greyed out. When I click Open GL settings it says that it does not recognize a open gl compatible card. Ive got all XP updates, directX, etc.I have tried any and all possible nvidia graphics drivers to no avail. Shouldn’t it be recognizing that it is a compatible opengl card?
BTW I am running XP 32bit, using a Quardro FX 3450, Asus m2n Motherboard, AMD 6400, 4gb RAM, apple 30 inch display.
I thought this might be related to the problem (but probably totally unrelated):
In device manager/System Devices there is a device called “Nvidia nForce PCI System Management”. I only mention this because under the resources tab of this there are two I/O Range conflicting device itemizations. I don’t know what this is related to.I have had some different graphics cards on this OS/system before the 3450. Might that matter? Perhaps old stuff to clear out?
Also, Is using the opengl functionality going to help that much over the other preview options? What is the difference? Its probably not worth it if I have to try to install a whole new OS from scratch to get this to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Vincent
