Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy AE video w/ alpha channel to FC-Express/iMovie?

    You should be doing all of your compositing OUTSIDE of the application if you are going to do things this way. iMovie and FCE don’t support codecs that carry alpha channels.

    By \”outside\”, do you mean that I should do all the compositing within AE? I find AE the best for keying. I\’ll just might ask, how do you split a video in a layer without making the rest of the clip a new layer?

    Yes…
