I have an employee who is starting to learn AE and I would like to test his progress in a way other than me coming up with sample projects and scenarios.

He definitely isn’t ready for, and doesn’t need anything close to the depth of an ACE type test, but I was wondering if there was something else out there I could use to test his progress.

He’s been using Lynda.com to learn the basics but I haven’t had him really put anything into practice yet.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Have him make a 30 second commercial or teaser or trailer or something that represents something your company does (or something that he’d be using it for in his job).

The best way to see if he can do what you’re expecting him to do with AE is to give him a sample project. If he pulls it off awesome, just make sure he always keeps learning new things. If he can’t pull it off – well hehe that’s up to you what you do from there 🙂

    Hope that helps.
