AE to FCPX – rendering AE titles into FCPX
I rendered out the AE titles under RGB+ALPHA QUICKTIME PNG CODEC for transparency in FCPX.
After I import into FCPX under optimized media, I can view the titles as is with no black background until it finishes rendering. I don’t understand why it goes back to having a black background after it renders in FCPX.
Any ideas?

The only pro res codec that supports alpha channels is prores 4444. When you let fcpx “optimize” your media it transcodes to prores 422, so no alpha channel. Easy fix don’t convert your graphics
