? regarding “a real-time preset to match broadcast specifications (Rec. 709).”
FCX 10.2 features” “a real-time preset to adjust the look of the image to match broadcast specifications (Rec. 709).”
Does this mean:
By “look” do they mean the program is in Rec 709 color space? Or is it still log and just adjusted to look like Rec 709?
Is the FCX window simulating the look of what Rec 709 would look like on a broadcast monitor, so we do not “need” a second HDTV to color correct? Or are we still seeing log in the FCX window?
Is rec 709 output from the thunderbolt / displayport so we can use a cheap displayport – to – HDMI adaptor to see rec 709 on a connected HDTV? Or do we still have to put a Rec 709 converter box downstream of the displayport?
Does using the preset mean export is in Rec 709? All the time, for ProRes and mp4?
Are there any downsides to using Rec 709 for web only distribution?
Thanks in advance
