    Hello!

I have a question regarding the new Essential Grafics features.

Now I can define regions within the timeline (AE) that can expand and other regions that don’t change the timing. Very usefull for inserts…
You know what I mean. I have a buildup animation and a closing animation of an insert that are fixed and the middle part (for example) is changable…

Now, how is AE handling that expandable regions.
ex.: I have an insert (with text) …and in the background, I have a looping animation…. a videoclip (3d render, or a PreComp with a selfmade animation).
This rendering(animation) is 1min long, but the final usage of tjis inserts is normaly at max 10 sec long, and sometimes 5sec and sometimes 13sec whatever.
A good example to use this new features within the essential grafics… soI want to build this grafic with this expandable possibility.

How does this background video behave now, does it will go faster and slower or can I use this 60sec loop in a way that the background video using its lenght to keep its normal playback speed.

Better: how do I set this up, that the video does not change speed?

    any ideas?

    thanks
