AE Multiprocess Rendering Through Media Encoder?

Here’s one for ya:

I’ve been doing some research lately into the multiprocessing capabilities of After Effects. I have concluded that it is something best left for final rendering, and not necessarily RAM previews. The problem, from what I understand (and this is a known issue) is that multiprocessing renders will often spit out bad frames of color bars. I was wondering, however, if I can circumvent this issue with Adobe Media Encoder. Since Media Encoder is multi-threaded (from what I understand), shouldn’t this solution, in theory, work? has anyone tested it?
