AE magazines?
Does anyone know if there are any magazines that cover After Effects including things like tutorials, tips, tricks, etc?

Spend some time on http://www.creativecow.net! The tutorials there are awesome.

Cow does have some excellent tutorials. Many are also available on the web (do a google search).
The british company Future Publishing has several magazines that occasionally have AE tutorials (e.g. Computer Arts, Computer Arts Projects), as do magazines like Create, Layers, Digit, MacDesign, etc. Go to the local bookstore and check the magazine racks.

not exactly AE but the new cerativecow mag will no doubt provide useful in many aspects..no doubt including some AE 😉
