? Import Setting for Go Pro HD?
Posted by Bruce Klein on September 11, 2011 at 1:45 pmI get a red line in the time line window and the video is zoomed in and not showing what I have shot. I just got the program and it is a struggle right now… I have tons of other questions too! It is mp4 and I did shoot at varying formats… Also how can you integrate multiple formats on 1 time line?
Thanks in advance for your help and accept my apology if you deem my inquiry stupid!

September 11, 2011 at 3:27 pmNot a stupid question at all Bruce.
my answer to any sequence settings is usually this…
drag any clip to the create “new item” icon found at the bottom of the project panel, and prem will automatically setup the correct sequence preset for you. (it’s the one that looks like a page with a fold)
I normally use Go-pro footage within my DSLR presets so i will need to render every time i put a go-pro clip in that timeline. mostly because i shoot with the Go-pro at 60fps 720p and my projects are setup at 25fps 1080p to suit the bulk of my DSLR clips. if you are only using go-pro clips then i would suggest using the shortcut explained above. But make sure to use a 24/25/30fps clip for your drag and drop, as that will then become your timeline sequence setting. unless of course you want to edit in 50 or 60fps?
to your second question, yes you can integrate multiple formats onto one timeline but you would have to render each new clip. the best bet is to use a sequence that matches the bulk of your footage.
hope that helps

September 14, 2011 at 7:46 pmthank you so much for your reply… I was used to working with discrete logic’s edit* but it is obsolete and i feel the same way… I have been trying to burn a dvd for 2 days now with no success… Is there a text or a downloadable documentation for premiere pro? I’ll post this dvd problem and other questions in the forum… Such as how do I render segments, how do I open a picture in picture using p2 and the go pro format and maybe how not to lose my mind too Thanks for you direction and kindness…
Thanks in advance for your help and accept my apology if you deem my inquiry stupid!
