    AE import problem

    Hi folks,

    I’m trying to import 25 seconds of mp4 footage into AE, but all I seem to end up with is a black preview window. The original file was rendered in Vegas at 1280×720 pixels, which is the same size as the AE composition.

    I tried converting the file to AVI, but with similar results.

    The footage plays just fine in Quicktime.

    I’m sure my problem is something rather straightforward. Any suggestions?

    Thanks David. I’ll try exporting from Vegas in a different format and get back to you with the results.
