    a) Your fonts are crap and contain bad contours (free fonts often do this).
    b) One of your fonts is damaged.
    c) Your Windows System is not correctly configured to handle foreign fonts. General language settings do matter since e.g. Asian fonts use different encodings.
    d) For Asian fonts you may even need to install AE in Japanese.

Check all the above. Either one or a combination of multiple problems might cause your trouble.

    Hello,

Likely to be a bad font, if you need to install languages, you the XP CD and go to control panel, they languages. You can then install the language you need.

I did this for Chinese texts, and it worked perfectly. I am running XP PRO with SP2 English.

    Thanks,

    Leo
