  • AE CS5.5 squishes image mx02LE w/max

Posted by Eric Santos on September 15, 2011 at 1:01 am

My footage is squished on the external monitor, it’s taller and I have black bars on the left & right sides.

The footage was shot on a hvx200 1080Pa24 and It looks fine in FCP.

I have updated MX02 to 2.2.3.0043 and the associated firmware upgrade
    I am running 10.6.7 on a MBP 4GB
Fresh install of CS5.5 Production Premium

    Any suggestions?

    Regards

    Eric

It’s likely a footage interpretation issue between AE and the source aspect ratio (pixel and resolution aspect ratios). What are the specs of the 1080P coming from the camera?

@RoRK, It does look fine in the timeline viewer, just the external output of the MX02 is squished, dod you still think it’s a ootage interpretation issue?
    The footage is 1280 * 1080, 1.5PAR, DVCPRO 100 1080pa24

@Dave, the footage looks correctly in the comp window & pixel aspect ratio compensation has no effect on the external image but does in the comp window.

This is now a known issue that Matrox support has duplicated and investigating.
