    AE CS5 qt32 error with Camtasia

    Hi 🙂

    I am using AE CS5 on Windows 7 64bit, and it works fine until I install Camtasia Studio 7.1.1. After I do that, when AE loads, it throws an error about qt32 server crashing. If I uninstall Camtasia, it begins to work fine again.

    I have sent a message to Camtasia support and am wondering if there is any insight from the community here?

    Here is Techsmiths response:

    We have not specifically tested this combination of products. I just went to install the trial of After Effects but Adobe is having problems with their download server.

    I did some googling and it appears After Effects has quite a few problems with other codecs on the machine. Since Camtasia does install the TSCC codec that could be part of the problem. You may want to contact Adobe to see if they have any workarounds for this issue.
