AE CS3 = version 8?
Posted by Aaron Neitz on March 27, 2007 at 7:25 pmWe’re still on 6.5 because it’s a solid workhorse…. but is the new CS3 version essentially version 8 of AE?

March 28, 2007 at 12:24 pmHere is another question, since AE is now under the Creative Suite moniker, does that mean we will only see upgrades when a new suite is release. AE 9 will not come out until all the other packages are release, under CS4?
I know we haven’t even gotten our hands on the lastest one, but it is a question to ponder.

March 28, 2007 at 12:50 pmThat is something I would like to know..I would probably only want to upgrade AE + PS, because I don’t want to lose Audition and don’t really need new versions of the rest of the suite..it’ll probably end up costing more to do it that way though!?!
Turns out Production Premium isn’t out until the autumn anyway, so presumably no new AE until either?
…Actually, just looking at the Adobe website – I don’t know if I qualify for a separate AE upgrade from Production Suite Premium…can you only upgrade from suite to suite, rather than just sep elements from within it? Anyone do that with older bundles?
