AE CS3 hangs at launch
Hi all,
Two things changed since I last launched AE CS3 (which I have been running for months). I had installed the Web Premium CS4 suite & Mac OS 10.5.6.
The unexpected behavior played out as follows…
1) I had to Accept the rules of use
2) I had to type in the CS3 serial code again.
3) I get a cache error telling me to reset the cache in preferences
4) I get an error telling me that the “OS is not recognized”
5) I get the spinning beachball of death.This happened consistently through three attempts to launch AE.. but now the app just vanishes shortly after the splash screen appears.
I have the latest version of AE… 8.0.2. I am using Mac OS 10.5.6 on a 3 ghz Mac Pro.

hold cmd-option-shift while opening AE. It will reset your preferences and AE should then open.
