I’m trying to do small 10 second web movies in AE. Just wondering if there is any optimal way of doing this to keep file size really small while maintaining image quality. I’ve experimented with comp setting as low as 8 frames per second, exporting a FLV then importing it into Flash and exporting a SWF and still my file sizes are too large. If it seems I’m trying to avoid doing the obvious ( author in Flash) I am . . . .don’t have time right now to learn the app and I know AE very well. Any wisdom ?

Search the AE help for “SWF”. When the article refers to “rasterize”, it basically means “make big files”.

If you want small files, you need to stay in vector format. AE can do that in a limited fashion if you stay with the supported features mentioned in the help, but beyond that, you need to author in Flash.
