AE CC: How to invoice the Scale dialog box?

I’m using automation software so I would like to copy the scale values so I can use them in variables to compare to something and then based on that, the macro will proceed in one of two ways.

Most of the other transforms have shortcuts for their dialogs (try Ctrl+Shift+P to see the Position dialog), but Scale and Anchor Point do not.

You will have to use the Keyboard Shortcuts editor to assign a keystroke to Layer > Transform > Scale…

Once that’s done, you can use it in your automation to get the dialog box you need.

Hi Walter, I have assigned a shortcut but no luck.

I think your hotkey combination conflicts with the shortcut for the Add/Delete Scale Keyframe command. You may need to reassign the conflict or pick a different shortcut for the Scale dialog if the conflict cannot be cleared.

Walter, you’re a genius. That worked.

I had already completed the work yesterday (doing a bit more manual work) but for the sake of giving closure to this post and in case it helps someone else in the future I am following up.
