? Cannot delete keyframe!
Hi, I am making great progress as usual, I am in a track motion window and added keyframes for shadow and 2D for a PIP image and now, I want to delete the keyframes but I can’t – the option to delete is grayed out, do NOT see a setting for enabling deletion in the track window menus….hmmmmm, why won’t it let me delete these?

I am starting to run into some very subtle problems with keyframing, especially on track motion. You of course already know that when you do something to keyframe an effect, you need to RESET those effects (when they complete) back to NO effects BASELINE or else you will have the nasty problem of all the following video events on that track being effected by the last track motion settings because the automation is still in effect. Whew! I am starting to get headaches over exactly when and where to reset track motion PIP, shadow and glow back to baseline and it is NOT easy to figure out. Any hints on this? Am I into some advanced stuff here? Another thing I ran into is that turning shadow and glow ON or off is NOT available as a keyframe effect – because it is a checkbox – I handled it by setting the alpha channel to zero and this IS keyframeable. Whew, really flying by the seat of my pants here, do these kinds of problems get WORSE? What book deals with these intricacies?

If you set a track motion keyframe then, yes, EVERYTHING from that point on will receive those settings UNLESS you add another keyframe changing things such as your mentioning changing them back to “default”.
This is more a problem with the “Movie Studio” versions as they’re limited to 4 video tracks than the full version which allows unlimited tracks.
