AE 7.0 Text Effects
Hello, I am only a few weeks into AE 7.0 and have already run into some trouble with the effects presets. Either from Bridge or from the Effects Window, sometimes when I try to apply a preset to either video, a solid layer, or text[This post prompted by the ’emerge’ effect], only part of the effect will apply itself, often, however, this will extend into no effect whatsoever. What exactly is going on?

Not sure. Either you don’t have all plugins installed (some of the presets make use of the CC effects, so check that) or some of the expressions used in some of the presets break for whatever reason.
